José Luis Soria holds over 30 year experience in top management positions in the Utilities and Telecommunications industries.

José Luis started his professional career at FECSA (currently Endesa ) where he became Corporate Development Director and Deputy General Director. During this period he was in charge of the diversification efforts of the company, both as executive and as board member in over 20 companies of the group, in the Real Estate, Renewable energy, Energy distribution and Telecommunications industries.

From 1997 he was in the frontline of the process to liberalize the telecommunications market in Spain, actively participating in the Consortium Airtel (first new mobile operator). Later on he led the Comité de Eléctricas that successfully bided for Retevisión (first new fixed operator to be privatised), where he went on to become Deputy General Manager. Furthermore, he was on the board of directors of a number of cable operators where Retevisión had a stake ( Cable i Televisió de Catalunya , Aragón de Cable , Retena , MedTelecom , .), and held a Corporate Directorship at Auna .

Throughout his career, in addition to his executive experience, José Luis has participated in numerous mergers and acquisitions, building a deep knowledge on the dynamics involved in these kind of operations.

In the last 8 years, he has developed his career in the Strategy and Business consultancy field. He collaborates with SPC ServiceProfit Consulting since 2006, in projects in the Utilities and Telecommunications industry and as expert advisor on Corporate strategy, Integration and Transformation of companies.
